Custom projects at Maika Desnoyers and Étienne Boulay's home

Being masters of custom work, we were entrusted with some beautiful large-scale projects this spring by Maika Desnoyers and Étienne Boulay. We made their kitchen cabinets, their walk-in pantry, a living space and wall-mounted bookcases in the living room. Enough to dress up the couple's entire main floor with cabinets!

Kitchen and walk-in pantry

During the renovation of their home with the goal of a major expansion, the canvas available for the kitchen was a nice size to create a kitchen that lived up to their expectations! The composition of the of the kitchen offers a very large island adorned with a natural stone countertop, a quartz color Calacatta Gold that brings richness to the majestic kitchen. When it came to the cabinets, their choice was MDF which offers durable and long-lasting properties over time. In Vanilla Flower color, the kitchen remains monochromatic and offers a bright light to the room!

On the walk-in pantry side, we see the same materials as the kitchen in the cabinets while a touch of wood was added for the countertops. This is a countertop of stratified in Walnut. The entire top of the walk-in pantry is lined with open shelves ( stratified color Designer White) for optimal storage and access. As a bonus, a window at the very bottom to maximize natural light!

Wall bookcases in living room and bench

When we talk about custom, we are in a furniture solution that fits perfectly in a room and meets in every way the desires and habits of its owner. Here, we live it with wall-mounted bookcases that not only integrate with the decor but also enhance it in a beautiful way. This, in addition to meeting the Desnoyers-Boulay family's need for storage. The mantel and the fireplace became a centerpiece surrounded by masterpiece surrounded by these glass-door cabinets.

For the bench, this is also where the integration of custom furniture makes sense! It is an integral part of the decor, sometimes higher between the windows and lower for seating with a view of the greenery. And let's not forget not to mention the built-in storage it offers - it's perfect!

Regarding the materials of these two elements, we stay in the MDF color Vanilla Flower for consistency with the kitchen.
