Continuous improvement Technician
Headquarters of Sainte-Sabine
Under the immediate supervision of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Technician contributes to the development of processes and the quality of the company's operations. The person will be required to work at our various sites. The position is offered on a hybrid telecommuting basis.
Required profile
Be driven by change. Excellent understanding of manufacturing and service operational processes, autonomy, professionalism, teaching ability, attention to detail and quality work. Ability to analyze and synthesize, results oriented, innovative, initiative combined with excellent organizational skills and priority management, efficiency oriented and a very good team player.
Main tasks
In collaboration with the Continuous Improvement Manager:
- Contribute to research, data collection, analysis, improvement, development and standardization of company processes and tools;
- Train and inform employees when implementing new processes and tools;
- Ensure follow-up training following implementations;
- Communicating procedural memos and reminders to employees;
- Contribute to the development of effective monitoring tools;
- Ensure the maintenance of control tools following improvement projects, in the various departments;
- Anticipate and/or identify and then report any problems encountered in one or other of the phases of a project to the Continuous Improvement Manager;
- Any other tasks directly related to the job.
Prerequisites
- Mastery of IT software tools related to continuous improvement and project management (Visio/LucidChart, Minitab, Monday.com/Project MS);
- Very good knowledge of the Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint intermediate level);
- Good knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and tools used in Lean Six Sigma projects (DMAIC, SIPOC, VSM, DOE, Kaizen, FMEA, etc.);
- Yellow Belt LSS certification, or other Lean certification;
- Experience in project management or participation in the realization of continuous improvement projects;
- Analytical skills, communication skills and spirit of collaboration;
- Ability to work under pressure and successfully complete several files at the same time;
- Be willing to work from home and be available to travel between branches;
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written (an asset).
