Job Description



Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Accounting and Finance Team Lead oversees the daily supervision of financial and accounting operations. He or she manages the team, ensures compliance with best practices, and guarantees the reliability of financial information provided to management.

Main Tasks



  • Supervise general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities
  • Guide and support the finance team in their daily tasks
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of accounting entries and financial reports
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Implement and enforce internal financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce financial risks
  • Perform any other related tasks


Prerequisites



  • Degree in accounting, finance, or administration (CPA designation or in progress is an asset)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in finance or accounting
  • Experience in team management or supervision
  • Good knowledge of accounting software; knowledge of Acomba is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of the construction industry would be an asset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and rigor in managing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good command of French
