Job description



The Delivery Driver (Class 5) is at the heart of the logistics process, directly contributing to providing high quality products to customers. His role involves driving a vehicle and handling furniture using specialized equipment.

He reports to the Logistics and Customer Support Supervisor and works closely with other members of the logistics team to ensure maximum operational efficiency while maintaining high quality standards.

Main tasks



  • Drive a vehicle to deliver cabinet modules and accessories according to an established route;
  • Deliver cabinets and accessories;
  • Carry out a preliminary inspection of the vehicle before departure;
  • Check the quality and quantity of goods to be delivered based on purchase orders, and complete the delivery documentation;
  • Record information relating to deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and incidents encountered;
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by wearing the necessary protective equipment, respecting safety standards and reporting anomalies on handling equipment;
  • Collaborate with other delivery drivers to unload goods by hand or using specialized equipment;
  • Manage the process of ordering new parts in the event of equipment breakage or wear, following the procedures established by the company;
  • Actively participate in the preventive or corrective maintenance of equipment to ensure its proper functioning;
  • Strictly comply with occupational health and safety regulations at all stages of production operations;
  • Contribute to maintaining a respectful, positive work climate focused on the company's values, by promoting collaboration and support between colleagues;
  • Perform all other tasks directly related to the job.

Prerequisites



  • Secondary school diploma (DES) or training deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driving license and have a good driving record;
  • Hold an occupational health and safety card on construction sites;
  • The job requires lifting and handling weights in excess of 100 pounds.
