Job description



The Senior IT Technician plays a central role in the support and maintenance of the company's IT systems. He provides technical support to internal customers, ensures the installation and maintenance of all electronic equipment and hardware, and offers proactive assistance in solving IT problems.

He reports to the Finance and IT Manager and works closely with other members of the IT team to ensure the smooth running, performance and reliability of IT systems.

He travels frequently between our different sites.

Main responsibilities



  • Install, configure and maintain IT hardware, including computers, servers, peripherals and network equipment;
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems encountered by users, whether in person, by telephone or remotely;
  • Manage data backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure the security and integrity of company data;
  • Participate in software design and plan the structure of the program before starting writing;
  • Use programming language to translate software specifications into functional computer code;
  • Implement and supervise IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus and access policies;
  • Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to ensure optimal and secure use;
  • Document technical interventions, installation procedures and system configurations to ensure traceability and reproducibility of operations;
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement by proposing innovative solutions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations;
  • Contribute to maintaining a respectful, positive work climate focused on the company's values, by promoting collaboration and support between colleagues;
  • Perform all other tasks directly related to the job.


Prerequisites



  • Diploma of college studies (DEC) in computer science or training deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent command of commonly used computer systems (Office suite);
  • Skills in diagnosing and resolving technical problems;
  • Good understanding of IT security principles and data protection best practices;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks at once;
  • Excellent command of French grammar and spelling.
