Job Description



Reporting directly to the Sales Support Manager, the Measurement Technician is responsible for the complete follow-up of the customer file and takes charge of project management, from measurements to service calls.



Required Profile



Strong communication skills, methodical, reliable, diligent, autonomous, with a sense of organization and responsibility. Interest in manual work while being customer-service oriented.



Main Tasks



  • Act as a resource person for project follow-up, provide technical advice to customers, and communicate project changes to all stakeholders;
  • Know the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be carried out and collect the necessary information from various stakeholders;
  • Establish and maintain good business relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are adequately met and their satisfaction is maintained throughout the project;
  • Take and verify technical measurements at clients’ homes or on job sites using calipers, measuring tapes, and other manual tools, in compliance with current standards and company policies;
  • Complete forms with the results of the measurements taken;
  • Submit completed forms to the designers so they can prepare an appropriate proposal for the client;
  • Specify important details about the construction site and make recommendations to stakeholders when necessary;
  • Ensure all required plans are obtained from the designers to successfully complete projects;
  • Perform minor repairs during service calls;
  • Conduct service inspections and act as a field reference for internal clients;
  • Follow up on service calls as needed;
  • Compile relevant information and prepare reports at the request of the Sales Department management;
  • Participate in sales department meetings and training sessions;
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position.


Prerequisites



  • College diploma (DEC) in Interior Design or equivalent training;
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the construction field (asset);
  • Technical knowledge of kitchen cabinetry and construction sites;
  • Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Occupational health and safety course for construction sites (asset);
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple files simultaneously.
