Measurement technician

Under the immediate responsibility of the Sales Support Manager, the Measurement technician takes care of the complete follow-up of the client file, takes care of site management, ranging from measurement to service calls.



Required profile



Communication skills, methodical, reliability, diligence, autonomy, sense of organization and responsibility. Have an interest in manual work, while being customer service oriented.



Main tasks



  • Act as a resource person for site monitoring, offer a technical advisory service to customers and communicate to stakeholders all changes during projects;
  • Know the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be carried out and collect the necessary information from the various stakeholders;
  • Establish and maintain good business relationships with clients. Ensure that their needs are adequately met and ensure their satisfaction throughout their projects;
  • Take and verify technical measurements at customers' premises or on construction sites using gauges, measuring tapes and other hand tools in accordance with current standards and company policy;
  • Complete the results forms for the measurements taken;
  • Send the completed forms to the designers concerned in order to enable them to offer a suitable quote to the client;
  • Specify important details regarding the location of new construction and make recommendations to stakeholders as needed;
  • Make sure to obtain all the required plans from the designers to complete the projects;
  • Make minor repairs for services;
  • Perform service inspections and act as a field reference for internal clients;
  • Make the necessary follow-ups during service calls;
  • Compile relevant information and write reports at the request of sales management;
  • Participate in sales department meetings and trainings;
  • All other job-related tasks.


Prerequisites



  • DEC in interior design or equivalent training;
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of minimum experience in the construction industry (asset);
  • Technical mastery of kitchen cabinets and construction sites;
  • Driving license class 5;
  • Course in health and safety on construction sites (asset);
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several files at the same time.
