Payroll Technician and ADM

Under the immediate supervision of the V-P Finance and Administration, the Payroll Technician and ADM assists the Human Resources and Finance team in various aspects such as payroll processing, compensation and all tasks related to administrative support.



Required profile



Methodical, meticulous, discreet, autonomous, good communication skills, sociable and customer service oriented. Ability to work under pressure and respect deadlines. Organizational skills, great concern for confidentiality and very good teamwork skills.



Main tasks



  • Perform payroll processing on a weekly basis;
  • Act as a reference to employees and management for all payroll related issues;
  • Assist in the transmission of payroll and HRIS knowledge in collaboration with the Human Resources team;
  • Participate in new initiatives and projects related to payroll and any other services that require payroll expertise;
  • Compile and write reports, statistics and any other payroll related documents;
  • Assume the administration of group insurance and pension plan files;
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as word processing, filing and employee record keeping;
  • Participate in the updating of various documents, procedures and policies;
  • Audit and record documentation related to personnel activities, such as staffing, training and performance evaluations;
  • Compile and write financial reports related to payroll (CCQ, CSST, training, commissions, etc...);
  • Participate and assist the finance departments with any other related tasks.


Prerequisites



  • Three (3) years of prior experience in a payroll technician position

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll legislative rules

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly, Excel which must be mastered at the advanced level
