Programmer Analyst (Filemaker)

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and I.T., the Programmer-Analyst's primary duties will be to analyze IT requirements, design and implement applications, implement procedures and guidelines, and develop recommendations on a wide range of application-related issues.
Required profile
A meticulous, results-oriented, discreet, diplomatic, courteous person with a good capacity to adapt to change, an excellent sense of organization and priorities, as well as being customer service oriented. Demonstrate a very good team spirit.
Main tasks
- Develop, maintain and support technologies developed in Filemaker Pro;
- Design, develop, integrate, test and implement applications;
- Make sure to keep application documentation up to date;
- Evaluate feasibility of requirements;
- Participate in application design and development, new releases, change requests and maintenance of existing applications;
- Determine impacts to existing applications;
- Participate in the development of recommendations on application strategies, policies, management, security and service delivery and propose various solutions;
- Coordinate and ensure the proper integration of new application development, enhancement realization and incident correction;
- Ensure compliance with standards, procedures and security constraints;
- Contribute to the improvement of customer services and the achievement of the organization's business objectives;
- Any other duties directly related to the job.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree or DEC in computer science or training deemed equivalent;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of programming experience (Filemaker Pro)
- Proven ability in the analysis and development of database solutions;
- Ability to work in a team environment with colleagues and internal clients;
- Have good initiative and ability to work under tight deadlines;
- Have a good understanding of relational databases;
- Functional knowledge of English;
- Good learning ability and problem solving skills;
- Ability to write clear and concise reports;
- Ability to present results and solutions of one's analyses;
- Ability to work under pressure and complete multiple files at once.
