Senior Sales Manager Contractors

Reporting to the President, the incumbent is responsible for achieving the sales objectives set by the company for the Manufacturer and Distribution sectors. He/she plans, organizes, directs, and controls sales activities. He/she is continuously involved with the managers of the other sectors of the organization in order to achieve corporate efficiency.

Main tasks



  • Develop and implement strategies to develop the sales areas under his/her responsibility align with the company's growth objectives and business strategy;
  • Supervise, direct and coach the representatives as well as the designer sales builders to achieve the objectives;
  • Identify valuable emerging markets and make accurate forecasts of future sales with sales strategy development;
  • Collaborate on the organization's growth challenges by bringing effective, efficient and results-oriented management dynamics while advocating organizational values;
  • Continuously ensure the efficiency of sales contracts entered into in order to maximize the company's profit;
  • Prepare and implement competitive strategies that promote customer engagement to close and refer;
  • Support the President in the execution of specific mandates and act as a corporate leader in the industry's sales decision making process;
  • Foster teamwork in the development of sales strategies and healthily encourage effective resource development;
  • Use a pragmatic and thoughtful approach in contentious cases and respond effectively to various critical interventions, with the goal of maximizing the customer experience while maintaining company rules;
  • Ensure that effective standards are maintained and participate in developing research and process improvement practices aimed at growing sales team performance;
  • Any other duties directly related to the job.


Prerequisites



  • Have a university degree in a management-related discipline;
  • Have a recognized sales background;
  • Have extensive experience managing a large sales team;
  • Have knowledge of the construction market;
  • Have interacted with the various construction trades;
  • Have worked in a large scale organization with enviable goal achievement;
  • Have a thorough understanding of selling and producing custom products;
  • Understand the needs and timing of marketing actions in their sales team performance strategies;
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills and ability to work in a team environment.
