Woodworker help to make and assemble non-standard furniture.
Required profile
Methodical, self-starter who enjoys working with tools and machinery. Ability to work under pressure while promoting teamwork. Open to change. Ability to distinguish colors.
Main tasks
- Study plans, specifications or drawings of items to be manufactured or prepare specifications;
- Prepare non-standard parts and orders;
- Assemble parts and partial assemblies to form a piece of furniture using glue and clamps, and reinforce joints with nails, screws, or other fasteners;
- Sand wood or melamine surfaces;
- Use digital carriage saws occasionally;
- All other tasks directly related to employment.
Prerequisites
- Minimum DES or equivalent (asset);
- Knowledge in the field of cabinetry or furniture;
- Knowledge of factory work;
- Job requires lifting and handling weights up to 50 pounds;
- Be versatile, punctual and diligent.
